You have a maximum roster limit of 23 total players.
Free Agency will be based on an Equal 1 For 1 Trade Structure. There is no rule that says you must maintain your team. During the course of the year, you can swap a player from your team with a free agent as long as you follow the following criteria:
1. The player you are giving up must be the same overall rating as (or higher than) the player you are acquiring.
2. You maintain at least 12 Forwards, 6 Defence and 2 Goalies at all time.
This is based on a first-come first-served basis. By having the same rated players being exchanged with free agents, the free agent pool remains consistently at an even field. The only time a higher rated player can be selected is via draft selection in which a team subtracts a player in order to add a prospect or available free agent.
