I have a few final acts of duty to resolve before finally hanging up the PR gloves.
So a few issues went down recently that needed some resolution from an objective outsider, so here goes.
1) Drafting Undrafted Players
Prologue
Some confusion came about in regards to who is an eligible "undrafted" player, and who is not. I was busy with extensions at the time of the first undrafted pick, so I didn;t see this then to deal with it properly. Related, there was no rule WHAT SO EVER established as to who actually counts as an eligible undrafted player in this draft.
So we are forced to look at HOW selecting undrafted players started here. It was done by people who were familiar with the undrafted player rules from 1980 - the rules that say:
A player who is undrafted (and we will get a list of these important people up as soon as we can) will be draft eligible on the first year they appeared in an NHL game, and no sooner!
So, if Curtis Joseph played his first game in 1985, his draft year is 1985. Simple, solid, good.
Okay, so what are we going to do about it?
Every pick from Atlanta's 2nd to the end of the draft will be quickly redone.
What...why?
Because this is where the first ineligible undrafted players slipped through the cracks. And its only a couple picks. This was not the fault of those teams. It was the fault of mine for not seeing this sooner, and establishing the clear rules to follow. I apologize to everyone for this oversight.
How do you know this shit won't happen again?
From now on, we will be using a draft list. If someone went undrafted in an upcoming draft and you want to draft them, you MUST request they be added to the draft list that season PRIOR TO THE DRAFT STARTING. Otherwise, they are ineligible for that years draft list, and will have to wait another year. SO PAY ATTENTION.

2) Roster Limits
Prologue
People want bigger roster limits. We decided 23. Mike, and many other people here, want more.
Explanation Behind 23
The reason I pushed for 23 is because after I set up my negotiation document to PR, i realized this league is REALLY divided into haves, and have-nots. With dropping the cap system, there was a lot less of this talent being dispersed. So, to do SOMETHING, I insisted we go with really small roster limits to create SOME wealth sharing. There were literally some instances where one teams 13th forward would easily be another teams 2nd line forward. Wealth needs to be shared more here. Hence, tight roster limits.
Backlash
People don't like it.
Resolution
I understand. So we will compromise. I still want this tiny talent dispersion. But NEXT draft, we will bump the roster limit up to 25. So if you have all your picks, you are hypothetically just adding your 1st and 2nd to your team.
After that, we'll stick with 25 until further notice.
