If you wish to keep your own 23 players, you do not have to trade in a single player for any player in this third round. It is merely conducted to allow all teams a chance at one free agent in a random order of selection.

I will actual be doing the same. But he will bump somebody from my 2nd pairing. So it might help some. Some good defensemen there though.

Bad teams got the entry draft to get better, this is a "promo" draft, and everyone got an equal chance at getting a high pick
