Hahaha That was different. When we let people swap draft picks to have a drafted rookie be higher overall. Good IN THEORY, but it got REALLY fucked up after a while in practice. hahahaa haha yeah the draft picks, they were so much more valuable than most NHL players. hell if you did it right those 2nds and 3rds made your Belak level players into Crosbys on crack. lol.

LOL, you guys are not getting it. I know I got ripped off, I'm not stupid. I never said it was fair, I never said Kolzig was as good as Ward. I traded without thinking. My personal life is way beyond busy right now, and I just pulled the trigger without thinking or looking into it because Kolzig was my favourite player. Like I said, it's my fault and I'm taking responsability for it. I'm not a GM to back down from an agreed deal. Avs lucked out, but who really cares. Believe it or not I'm a good GM, and the Canes with be a good team. I might have taken a step back with this deal, but that's hockey. Cam Neely to Boston ring a bell? Mistakes have been made, this is one of them. Let's move on.

Let's move on. people are more worried about that bolded section, if 2 weeks from now you post that and resign then this trade is one definite problem, as it fucks up Carolina and no one will take them, which will cause them to fold. As long as you stay here for a few seasons, I don't care about the trade, I accept it even (even though I find it hilarious), but if you leave after half a season then this never should have gone through.... which by the way is why people are asking for it reversed in the 1st place, if we accept every dumbass deal that goes through and half those GMs resign or leave and never come back then what was the point. Anyway sorry for the rant but it needed to be said.

The reason it was accepted is mostly contingent on the fact that Canes is a highly respected member and has been vouched for by many people. He traded young goalie for a number one goalie. Simple as that. I'm curious to see how he builds his team to make it all work - and I think he will make it work.

someone always wins in a deal anyways. or else there'd be no point in trading
