This is something that happened in the city I live in - Sudbury. Now, here's what it doesn't really explain. There's a section in town near a bridge in a van down by the river! where prostitution if pretty much central. This little group calling for the end of violence against women decided to spend thousands of dollars to create a billboard near this area. The billboard reads "Real Men Don't Buy Girls." Pretty straight forward, including their website. With that said, the person forgot to officially register their domain name, and thus another person saw the billboard, looked up the domain, saw that it was available (due to sheer dumbness) registered it, and redirected it to a porn site. This article then discusses the outcome of them fighting and debating the legality of the situation. www.thesudburystar.com/2012/11/22/porn-site-prankster-didnt-break-rules-says-internet-authorityThat's the article. There's a poll at the bottom that I find interesting and decided to ask the same question here: Do you think this was a funny prank or was it wrong of the person to register and redirect the domain?
